Introduction:
Please feel free to contact me for a free consultation. The consultation allows us some time to briefly share your concerns, discuss your needs and to answer any questions you might have, as you explore your individual needs for therapy.
General Focus:
Please contact me if you are experiencing anxiety, panic attacks or depression which are interfering with relationships/daily life. Together we will find strategies to help you reduce symptoms, manage anxiety/depression and to enhance your overall well-being through a variety of approaches.
Specific Area of Focus:
Areas of therapy include but are not limited to: transitions, change and adjustments to new or existing relationships, single parenting or co-parenting issues, divorce, break-ups, new baby/family, changes to family structure, newly diagnosed learning disabilities for pre-school and school-age children, support for parents of child/children with disabilities, postpartum depression, pregnancy, menopause, career changes, job stress, job loss/new and grief/loss.
Experience:
I have practiced for over 20 years, as a licensed clinical social worker, in a variety of educational settings (preschools, residential middle school, high school and college). My career has focused on some of the following areas: case management, support staff, therapy/counselor, clinical supervisor, and as undergraduate professor of social work. I have worked with individuals across the developmental life span including: preschool aged children, children & adolescents, families, couples, young adults and adults.

I look forward to working with you on your personal journey of growth and developing strategies to cope with life day to day as you create positive changes in your life.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning I will work with you individually and use a variety of approaches to meet your specific needs. Our focus in therapy is to enhance your social, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being. Together we will explore some of the following areas: self-awareness, goals/objectives, problem solving, managing/coping with feelings, navigating/adjusting to change within new/existing relationships and reframing & healing from loss and experiences which have/are creating challenges for you.
Long Term Goal:
Provide a supportive, nurturing environment where we can identify creative solutions to reduce and manage symptoms which can be incorporated outside of weekly meetings and ultimately assist you as you transition through various experiences and life stages.
